My work explores the relationships between people and their environments. Taking from my own experiences growing up in
Northwest Indiana, the Midwest is a commonly investigated element as I navigate themes of isolation,
transition, and the exploration of self.
Using classical techniques in oils and with a strong commitment to realism, I strive to create accurate representations
of my subjects. Juxtaposing the figure with a landscape creates an element of narrative mystery, and invites the viewer to contemplate
the relationship with their own environment.
